Yard Signs Are In

Dear Neighbors,

Gay Willis turned her back on District 13. We're turning out to recall her. Thank you for standing with us — your engagement is what powers this movement, and we've got a few quick updates to share.

Our first round of signs is ready for pickup. Grab yours from either of these doorsteps — no need to ring the bell or notify the homeowners:

These first signs were generously covered by fellow supporters — a big thank you to those donors! If you'd like to chip in for the next round, we suggest a $25 donation, but it's entirely optional. Every sign in a yard is another voice for accountability in District 13.

The Preston/Royal zoning case heads to the City Plan Commission on Thursday, August 6. The hearing was postponed from June because some residents within 500 feet of the proposed development did not receive proper notification per City requirements. You can read the details here: CandysDirt

This is a big one. The proposal would dramatically increase density and building heights at Preston & Royal — and Willis is expected to back it. Now is the time to make your voice heard.

We're monitoring the Dallas City Council closely and will keep you posted on the dates that matter. Based on actions the Council took on June 17, the next major public discussion on the future of Dallas City Hall is expected in late August 2026. At that meeting, the City Manager is expected to present:

Responding to furloughs mandated by the Dallas City Manager, Willis told WFAA she'd like to see officials focus on growing the city's tax base instead. Is it any wonder Willis so consistently sides with developers over neighborhoods — even willing to sell off the people's house to benefit them? District 13 deserves better.
